Mitchell Malfliet
Director And Accredited Exercise Physiologist
Originally from Far North Queensland, Mitch is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and member of Exercise and Sports Science Australia. He graduated from James Cook University in Townsville with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology.
Mitch has a passion for helping people with chronic conditions or injuries to improve their quality of life through exercise treatment strategies. Specialising in musculoskeletal injuries and heart health, but experienced in a diverse range of conditions, Mitch enjoys working together with his clients to achieve their goals. He finds being part of that transformation to be the most rewarding part of his role. Mitch strives to grow as a person and a practitioner, so that he can aid his clients in the best way possible.
Mitch has just moved back to Brisbane from Darwin after a 2 year stint as an Exercise Physiologist/Clinic manager, where he gained experience working with a range of clientele. This included working as an exercise consultant to a cardiac rehab program, with insurance related cases, DVA veteran one-on-one programs and the heart health program, general public word-of-mouth referrals and Chronic Disease Management plan referrals. Mitch’s clientele suffered conditions ranging from mental health and spine, knee, shoulder operations to acquired brain injuries and everything in between. Mitch developed a productive partnership with each of his clients through relaxed encouragement and a sense of humour to get the job done. He feels honoured to have had the opportunity to have a positive impact on his client’s well-being and quality of life. He is keen to extend his practice further in North Brisbane.
